I've been meaning to start making homemade BBQ sauce for years. A long winter during COVID-19 gave me more of a reason to get a new hobby. Making the sauces really taught me that they're insanely packed with sugar, so my sauces do try to take healthier approaches, substituting ingredients like date syrup, tomato paste, etc. instead of the traditional molasses, ketchup, etc.
As most of you know, my dog's name is Paddington, aka Paddy. He's seen here trying to run away from two dogs that want to smell his butt
My good friends Corin and Todd Chapman are very involved in a wonderful foundation for a very rare disease that their boss man of a son, Max, battles. Their tireless efforts for finding a cure makes me so proud to have them as friends!
Indianapolis is near the top of US cities that suffer from food insecurity. Martha Hoover, an absolute saint in this city, not only knows how to run amazing restaurants, but also has a foundation that works to get meals to those in need in the Indianapolis area. Fun fact, Christine and I got engaged at one of her restaurants!
Many of you know that my wife and I are animal lovers. We always have to change the channel when the Sarah McLachlan commercials hit because it breaks our hearts. So, please consider donating for all the wonderful doggos, cats, miniature donkeys, chickens, parrots, bearded dragons, etc. get the love they need!
Currently just doing local deliveries, but hope to figure out shipping soon
Thick diced bacon, mixed with diced plum tomatoes, diced sweet onions, Maker's Mark and plenty more!
The clear fan favorite. A great balance of smokiness, spice and flavor. Already being carried on the catering menu of my good friend, Chef Yousef!
Named after our beloved angel, Monkey, aka The Warden, seen here trying to punch Paddy because he's in the way of her trying to punch Cheeto. She hates seeing anyone happy and this sauce will deliver the anger! Made a hotter version called The Fury, due to demand for heat
Ready to fight the Top Three sauces
In true Carolina tradition, with a couple of tweaks to the standard recipe, allowing for a thicker, spicier kick
Bringing Beam and Coke to a sauce
Branching out to some new flavors and styles
Testing out some authentic Korean style sauces, and figured I'd try to create an international controversy by giving it an edgy name. It worked for Seth Rogen and the crappy movie he made...
Another sauce that teeters more on being a hot sauce than a bbq sauce. Very thick with a strong kick
My good friend and local chef Yousef Sawaqed is looking to use the Memphis Blue Label sauce in his 2021 menu! Below is a video of one of the dishes he's planning to include the Memphis Blue Label sauce!
